I’m pretty sure I’m using the word karma in the title of this post in a way that befits an american movie. And not much else. But good karma is just what I’ve experienced the past couple of weeks. A few people were kind enough to write to me with flattering words about my music. All mails and messages received within a period of a couple of days. That was somewhat overwhelming. And fun.
Despite the fact that I think of myself as nothing but a big hack, it inspires and pushes me to get back to creating some old school goa. And more spacy, ambient music. So I will.
I just uploaded a collection of mostly older Psylent Buddhi tracks to the artist page. I’ve bundled them together in an album called 1997 - 2003 .
Some of the tracks have been floating around the internet on various music sites for years now, but I’ve included a few tracks that have never been released before. Unfortunately I lost the sourcefiles to many of these tracks a long time ago, and all I had left were compressed mp3 versions of the tracks. I did do some remastering of the tracks, but it’s far from optimal using mp3s encoded at 128 or 160kbps as the source. For instance, the track
Lunar Core was resting comfortably on a backup disc I made in 1998, until I dug it out and decided to include it on the album. The only version I had of that track was a noisy, low-volume 128kbps mp3 file. I’ve attempted to clean it up a bit, boost the volume and make the mix appear a tad more transparent. I didn’t quite succeed, but included it anyway, as I find it to be a nice piece of acidtrance. But alas, the soundquality of a lot of these tracks, well, flat out suck. Hopefully it’s still marginally enjoyable. I’m doing a nice job marketing this album, right. :-)
I’m off again!

Hello there. I figured I would try out this journal thing on Last.fm as a way to provide some news about the different musical endeavors I’m currently involved in. Odds are nobody reads this, but I’ll give it go anyway.
I can see that some people seem to like the Proton Kinoun stuff I’ve done so far. That has really taken me by surprise and I am deeply grateful. It was an interesting and fun experience making that album, so I’m glad a few besides myself finds Apeiron decent enough to subject their ears to. Thanks!
In a not too distant future a remastered version of the album, including a new bonustrack and some fresh and shiny artwork, will be released on the Ektoplazm media label. It’s going to be available as a free mp3 download and lossless wavs will be available too. In addition to that, there’ll be a CD version for those who crave a physical copy of the album.
Also, I’ve just begun working on the next album. So far it’s pretty conceptual, but it’ll be somewhat similar in style to Apeiron, although some of the tracks will probably be a tad ‘glitchier’ and psychedelic. Whatever that means.
That’s it for now, I’m off…
